My First Christmas Butter Cookie

Hi there,

Are you a baking or cookie enthusiast? Well I certainly am not, although I did know how to bake since I was 10. But this time was my first with baking Butter cookies.

A week ago I went grocery shopping after work and came across this Christmas molding tray. I decided to purchase it cause" tis the season" and also cause it was the last one on display.

A few days later and Christmas was approaching. So I looked online for an easy cookie recipe and stumbled onto this Butter Cookie recipe, which was actually one of the first search results. I'll leave a link below.

So it was 10pm and I decided to start baking. I had work the next day at 8am, but thought why not bake them and have it for morning tea at the office with my mates. Well the baking was done at 12:15am, a little longer than expected, but a worthwhile learning experience and one not to forget.

Despite having to face the terror of almost having the cookies stuck in the tray and waiting to cool then removing from the tray and washing it before placing in the second round of goods. The experience was great.

Overall the cookies were phenomenal. They were not dry as dust or hard as stone. It was soft and crumby and so sweet. It was my first Christmas Butter Cookie and one of my best so far.

Have a go if you will, and let me know what you think.

Stay fresh and Happy New Year!

Abby
